For those who wish to serve as Volunteers in the Abington School District, Pennsylvania state law requires the following clearances to be completed and submitted to the district prior to volunteering:

Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Check (Act 34),

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Check or Volunteer Clearance Exception Statement (see below). 

In accordance with the law, these documents must be updated every sixty (60) months in order to continue as a volunteer. Clearances must be less than one year old at the time of first submission. 

Certificates should be brought to the Administrative Building for processing.  Call ahead to see if you need an appt (215-884-4700).  The admin building address is 970 Highland Ave.  They will review your paperwork, take your photo, & administer your badge there.  That badge is your proof or pass to show the Copper Beech front desk staff at sign in upon arriving.  Please display it prominently at all times!
