Copper Beech PTA hosts food drives to benefit local food pantries that serve our community. With a brief pause for school closures that ended the school year, Copper Beech came back strong in the 2020-2021 school year.

In the 2020-2021 school year, Copper Beech students, faculty and staff hosted monthly food drives collecting over 4,000 pounds of non-perishable items to the Inter-Faith Food Pantry.

We hope to continue this amazing tradition in the 2021-2022 school year! Please keep a look out for notices of food drives coming to the CB community. We appreciate all the support.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Can I donate any non-perishable food item? Sometimes there is a list specific to my student's grade.

A: Yes, we will take all donations of non-perishable food items. Using a list sorted by grade helps to guarantee that we get a varied amount of the most needed items the food pantry is looking for that month.

Q: What's the most amount of food Copper Beech has collected in one month?

A: 1,869 pounds. We collected this amount in a Principal's Challenge in April 2021. Copper Beech challenged McKinley Elementary School to a food drive challenge. Video of the results can be found here.
