This year's Book Fair will be held in the Copper Beech Library from November 3-9.

The event serves as an opportunity for students to browse and purchase books in their school library AND it one of Copper Beech PTA's largest event fundraisers.

Unlike most shopping experiences these days, the Book Fair success relies on the sales of books at the sale in the CB library. The PTA makes a % of the sales back which allows us to fund events/activities for the students. There will be no online option for the Book Fair.

  • Students will browse for books during their normal library class from November 3-9.  Each student will receive a "wish list" form that allows them to write down their desired books and prices. Not to worry, volunteers will be on hand to help the youngest students write their favorites and pricing.

THEN

  • Students bring home their "wish list" and parents/guardians have the opportunity to review and then send in payment during the week of the Book Fair and orders will be fulfilled and delivered to your students. Since we are a large school and let's be honest some books get popular among the classes, there are times when a book order must be made and we have to wait until it ships from the book seller.

OR

  • Families have the opportunity to attend Family Night during the week of Book Fair.It will be held on Friday, November 5 from 4:30-8:00 pm.

This is a fun event for kids and parents and requires lots of hands to run smoothly. Our book fair runs November 3-9. Students will have an opportunity to shop during their regularly scheduled library class and also on Family Night on Friday, November 5.

We need evening help to set up, Family Night and breakdown of the fair. Volunteers are needed during daytime hours to pack book orders and assist younger children with finding books and filling out their wish lists. In the past many volunteers have signed up during their children's scheduled library time. Feel free to sign up for as little as one shift, for a few consecutive shifts or shifts on different days.  The volunteer slots are labeled by class library times allowing you to sign up for a time that your child will be in the library. (Tip: It is not easy to see teacher names when logged on by phone. If you do not know your child's library time you may want to sign up on a computer vs. your phone.)

It is a really easy, fun job and is a great way to meet other parents and to experience what goes on at Copper Beech during the school day. Please consider helping out in this event!

Each year teachers have the opportunity to develop their own classroom "wish list" of books they would like to have in their classroom libraries. At the Book Fair you will see these lists displayed and will have the opportunity to purchase a book for a classroom.

We thank anyone in advance for making a donation to a classroom library!

The Copper Beech Book Fair will bring in a selection of hundreds of books for your student to browse/shop. The average book price in $7.99. We have made a special request to have Reading Olympics Books available as well as Pennsylvania State Book Award Winners. Books will be focused on students Pre-K through 6th grade as we will have a selected of picture books as well as chapter books.
